This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit or shop on www.meradhluxurious.com (the "Platform"), how we use and share it, and the rights available to you under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws. Who we are
Meradh is an online marketplace that connects independent sellers ("Vendors") with customers. For the personal data we collect from you as a customer or visitor, MERADH LUXURIOUS PRIVATE LIMITED is the Data Fiduciary. When you place an order, the relevant Vendor is the seller of record and processes limited order information to fulfil and ship your order.

Personal data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identity & contact data — name, email address, phone number, and (for delivery) billing and shipping address.
- Account data — username, password (stored in hashed form), saved addresses, wishlist and cart contents.
- Order & transaction data — items purchased, order value, invoices, returns, exchanges and refunds.
- Payment data — payments are processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay). We receive confirmation of payment status; we do not store your full card, UPI or bank credentials on our servers.
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser and device information, and interactions with the Platform, collected via cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications — messages you send us through support tickets, email or reviews you post.
How and why we use your data
We process your personal data for the following purposes and lawful bases under the DPDP Act:
- To create and manage your account and to provide the Platform (performance of our contract with you).
- To process orders, arrange delivery through our logistics partner, generate GST invoices, and handle returns, exchanges and refunds.
- To provide customer support and respond to your queries and grievances.
- To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, misuse and security incidents (our legitimate interest and legal obligation).
- To send you service communications about your account and orders.
- With your consent, to send marketing and promotional messages — you can withdraw this consent at any time.
- To comply with applicable law, including tax, accounting and consumer-protection obligations.
Data retention
We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations (for example, invoices and transaction records are retained for the period mandated under applicable tax law). When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.
How we protect your data
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls and hashed passwords — to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials confidential and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023, as a Data Principal you may:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed.
- Request correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Request erasure of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (this does not affect prior processing).
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint about our handling of your data (see below).

Children's data
The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
